BRASSICA

   

A family of plants such as turnip, rape, kale and swede. Very fast growing, the first plants are up in 2-3 days and can yield 6” – 8” plants in two weeks. It produces big leaves that can grow to 36” tall, is very cold hardy and can survive several frosts. Its high nutrition, tender and sweet growth is very attractive to deer.

Time of Year to Plant: Spring planting should be done when soil reaches 50 degrees or in the fall when the weather begins to cool off
